BIKE, BLADE, & HIKE
The Betsie Valley Trail is
22 miles long and extends from Frankfort through Elberta and Beulah to Thompsonville in Benzie County Michigan. From Frankfort
to Beulah it is non-motorized. All of it is excellent for bicycles and pedestrian use. The 6 miles from Frankfort to Mollineaux
Rd. is asphalt and is good for roller blading. From Beulah to Thompsonville (13 miles) the compacted aggregate trail is open

Beulah Public Beach Located at the east end of beautiful Crystal Lake in the Village of Beulah. Facilities include tennis courts, a
park with picnic tables, beach house and one of the finest beaches in the state.
Elberta Beach "Our favorite beach”. Somewhat secluded and beautiful.
As close to the Caribbean as Michigan will take you. But, how far down the two track do you dare take it. Don’t
get too crazy. Buuuuttt, if you do, you cant say we didn’t warn you! Up for a challenge? Climb the
dune!!!
Lake Michigan Beaches Stroll the beaches from Point Betsie to Elberta. The bluffs along the Elberta Beach are favorite launch sites for
hang gliders.
Sleeping Bear Dunes Features many beaches along Lake Michigan. Open year-round, this national lakeshore offers cross-country skiing,
fishing, canoeing, camping, hiking, and dune climbing. The story about how the dunes got their name is one that you'll

Day to Labor Day. Admission is free.
Point Betsie Lighthouse Point Betsie is undergoing complete
renovation! After significant work, she sports some historically correct features: a new shingled roof, all new windows
and doors, and a new paint job reflecting the original color scheme last seen in the 1940's. Even if you can't make
it for a tour or for gift shopping during our hours of operation, many visit our beautiful beach from which you can still

and tourists alike. Want to be different? Try Aral Beach…approx 11 miles north of the Crystal Lake Getaway is a Sleeping Bear
Dune beach which offers beautiful views of the Empire Bluffs and Manitou Islands. Aral Creek flows into Lake Michigan
and gives the kids hours of good fun. Make it hours of fun and divert the creek to exit into the lake elsewhere. Can
you spot where the old lumber town is? Look into the water and try and spot the old posts from the pier.
